本稿では, 15世紀後半の山城国木津における住民の活動, 南山城地域の村々や興福寺との関係から, 従来は必ずしも都市として見られなかった木津を, 都市, 特に交通都市として描き出すことを目的とする。木津は木津川の水運と奈良・京都間を結ぶ街道の交差点に位置し, 交通の要衝であった。古代から奈良の外港として発達し, 15世紀には興福寺による一円支配が確立していた。当時の木津には, ……

This paper examines the historical significance of Kizu, a medieval port city in Japan's Minami Yamashiro region. Focusing on the fifteenth century, it analyzes the various activities of Kizu's residents and the city's relationship with villages in the region and Kofukuji Temple. Located in the Minami Yamashiro region at the intersection of the Kizu River and the Kyokai Circuit, an important overland route linking Nara and Kyoto, Kizu emerged during the medieval period as an important hub of transport and trade. ......
