Description

Rural women’s enterprises came to be within the scope of agricultural policy reflecting the political requirement of gender equality. Majority of rural women’s enterprises were farmers’ markets or food processing. The economic scales were rather small, but had various influence on agricultural production and the revitalization of local areas. The number increased, but the content and development of each enterprise differed area by area. Current paper re-examines the meaning of rural women’s enterprise from the view point of “positionality (the extent of the concernedness)”
