Description
<p>Recently, there has been a growing concern about an "echo chamber," a closed environment in which similar news and information circulate on social networking sites. In order to solve this problem, I defined echo chambers as a kind of confirmation bias. (Confirmation bias: the bias to respond only to information that reinforces one's own beliefs) Alone, confirmation bias can lead people to make bad choices, but with the addition of specific meta-cognition, they can reflect on their decisions and come to better conclusions. In this study, we will elucidate what meta-cognitive abilities are effective in reducing confirmation bias and how to appropriately enhance such meta-cognition.</p>
