Description

SSL II (edited by 'Fujitu') was developed for the purpose of supporting numerical calculation technics and of increasing numerical ability of computer. SSL II also contributes to exchange results of reseach between specialists. In addition, users even without expert and deep knowledges could easily utilize it. This paper, treating real symmetrical matrices, investigates the behavior of the SSL II for calculation of eigen values and eigen vectors. In the use of SSL II, it is proved that the accuracy of estimation of eigen values and vectors has been affected by the magnitude of absolute value of matrix, that eigen values and vectors for the large absolute determinant should be estimated by the double precision, and that subroutines for symmetrical matrices might be used in calculation of eigen values and vectors for symmetrical matices.
