Description
<p> A bridge brief inspection system using tablet computers has been established targeted for small-scale bridges (bridge length of under 15m) which account for almost 80% of municipally managed road bridges. As a result of demonstration experiments carried out by local building constructors before implementation on 384 locally managed bridges of 4 regions, 50~70% of the results completely corresponded, and by providing ranges for the determination outcome of both parties, up to a degree of 90% corresponded.</p><p> when collated with results from periodic inspection implemented by construction consultants. From the previously cited results, it has been considered that upon implementation of this system, overcoming short-age of manpower and substantial cost reducing can be highly anticipated. Therefore, for accuracy enhancement of inspection results, holding training sessions and providing teaching materials for increase of technical capability is requisite in order to compensate for lack of technical knowledge and experience.</p>
