Abstract

Recently, Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is attracting attention. However, the service level of public transportation and transportation behavior differ greatly between urban and suburban areas, and the feasibility of MaaS is highly dependent on the built environment. This study investigated intention to use MaaS (IUM) in urban and suburban areas. The results of the structural equation modeling revealed that car ownership and car attitudes have a significant impact on IUM. Also, the structure of IUM is almost same between Shiga and Kyoto, however, the stated intention in the questionnaire differs, which implies that built environment plays an important role.
