<p>The Mitsui Fudosan Group promotes ESG management based on the Group philosophy of seeking to link diverse values and coexist in harmony with society and achieve a sustainable society while aiming for a society that enriches both people and the planet. In February 2020, we became a member of RE100 and adopted the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures （TCFD）. We obtained SBT certification in February 2021, then set and announced medium- to long-term goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 and to net zero by 2050. The Mitsui Fudosan Group emitted 4.5 million tons of CO2 in greenhouse gas emissions in 2019, with Scope 1 and 2 accounting for approx. 10% of the overall total and construction and operational emissions each accounting for approx. 40% of Scope 3. It is essential to work with the supply chain, and we are prioritizing reductions in emissions during construction and operation as we progress. Specifically, that means introducing renewable energies at facilities we operate, installing highly efficient power generation and heat supply equipment, building and operating large-scale solar power generators, building wooden medium- to high-rise buildings, renovating existing buildings and conducting sustainable forestry. </p>
