Description

Multiple regression analysis was used to identify factors related to pain while walking (walking pain) after 3 months of physiotherapy in 50 women with secondary osteoarthritis of the hip. The results revealed that walking pain after 3 months of physiotherapy was associated with the flexion/abduction range of motion (ROM), distance between the fibular head and the bed in the frog-leg position, and flexion, adduction and internal rotation (FADIR) test results, but was not with the presence of walking pain at the initial visit, age, body mass index (BMI) or minimum joint space width.
