Abstract

The content of the elementary school arithmetic department is based on the amount. For children between the ages of 6 and 12, it is easy to understand the content rooted in daily life. However, there is originally no amount in the number. It is clear if the content of mathematics is seen. By comparing the idea of "numbers are the abstraction of quantity" and the idea of "numbers are the ratio of quantity", we consider whether learning in the arithmetic department can be easily done.
