Description

This study aimed to examine the factors that affect the overall satisfaction of smartphone applications from the user satisfaction of a chronological evaluation. These factors were examined from two perspectives: first, the potentiality of applying Daniel Kahneman’s Peak–End rule to user experience (UX) of smartphone applications, and second, the consideration of other factors that affect overall satisfaction. The explanatory parameters were considered from the chronological evaluation that each moment is evaluated on a 7-point satisfaction level. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis was conducted on Step 1, which was based on the Peak–End rule, and Step 2, which was based on the other factors. The results revealed that the Peak-End rule has the potentiality to be applied to the UX of smartphone applications.
