Abstract
<p>This study analyses the relationship between velocity structure of vortex and a swirling features of the bundles of vorticity line (VL) in an isotropic homogeneous turbulence. The result shows that the direction of swirling of VL is change, and the direction of axial flow of velocity field also changes. The coincidence of the distribution of the Laplacian of the third component of velocity with the direction of swirling of the VL in the plane related to the vortex flow suggests that there is a relationship between the swirl characteristics of the VL and the velocity structure of the vortex.</p>
