本研究では，英語教育に携わる教員の支援に向けて，学習者のある特定の英語運用能力に基づいて総合的な英語運用能力を自動的に推定する技術（推定器）の有効性を比較した．既存の書き取り能力に基づく推定器と音読能力に基づく推定器に加えて，書き取り能力と音読能力の両能力に基づく推定器を新たに提案した．3種類の推定器を非線形回帰で構築し，その有効性を推定の正確さの観点から検証した．検証の結果，書き取り能力と音読能力の両能力に基づく推定器を教員支援の技術として利用することが最も望ましいことが明らかになった．

This study, aiming to support English language teachers, examined the validity of automatic measurement technique (measurement method) for the general English proficiency by a part of learner's English language performance. In addition to previous measurement methods based on dictation performance or read-aloud performance, this study proposed a measurement method based on both dictation and read-aloud performances. The three measurement methods were obtained by using non-linear regression, and validated by evaluating the measurement accuracy. The results suggested that English language teachers should use a measurement method developed by both dictation and read-aloud performances.
