Abstract
<p> New guidelines have been developed in response to the damage caused by the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake Tsunami. Moreover, A great deal of knowledge has been obtained regarding the evaluation methods of tsunami loads acting on-land structures.However, not many studies have been conducted on tsunami wave forces on structures from the pushing wave to the receding wave of a tsunami, such as wall wave forces and buoyancy forces.In this study, a model experiment was conducted using a large wave tank capable of measuring tsunami waves from the pushing to the receding wave range, and tsunami wave forces were measured by changing the aperture of the structure. The experimental results were used to evaluate the feasibility of using the conventional estimation equation for tsunami wave force.</p>
