Description
Intensive facilities and compact urban layout are important means for Japan to cope with the continuous depopulation and aging problem and the resulting urban recession. In recent years, there has been an intensive facility integrating multiple medical functions, medical mall. Taking Fukuoka City as the case study, this paper clarified the development process of the medical malls, analyzed their location characteristics from the spatial distribution in the city and the building function mixing of the surrounding area, finally divided them into seven categories. In order to provide suggestions for their future site selection and the development of compact cities.
