<p>In the VUCA era, the entrepreneurship of university-launched ventures that are taking on the challenge of deep technology (DT) with a high development risk, are analyzed. The case of Kyoto Fusioneering Ltd. a Kyoto University-launched venture challenging nuclear fusion was taken up. The case study found that the collaboration of entrepreneurs who complemented technology and management, and the adoption of a business model that can generate sales and continuous income even in the experimental market are effective. Another success factors are that ESG investments are accelerating DT ventures, and university VCs are supporting university-launched DT ventures.</p>
