Abstract

Global warming is causing changes in temperature and rainfall patterns all over the world. The severity of urban floods is exacerbated by urbanization. Traditional grey infrastructure is incapable of dealing with intense and unpredictable storms. As a result, new approaches to climate change and urban flooding are required. Green infrastructure (GI) is widely regarded as a nature-based solution to mitigating the various pressures brought by climate change. This study determines how much runoff exceeds the capacity of Bangkok’s existing drainage systems, prioritizes the areas where GI is required, and recommends the best GI implication for tropical urban areas.
