Description

The goal of this study was to provide useful information for people(including graduate students) who want to write and publish academic psychology papers. To estimate(a) the length of time it will take to complete a paper and(b) the future duration of current academic publishing systems, I applied the delta t argument developed by Gott(1993). Based on some real-world data on publication statistics and a selective history of publishing systems, I argued that(a)a paper may be completed sooner than the author expects and(b) the older peer review system may coexist with or last longer than recent approaches to academic publishing.
