Abstract

<p> In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey at Ishinomaki Minamihama Tsunami Memorial Park about half a year after the park has opened, in order to identify attributes of visitors, the situation, their behavior and impressions. Furthermore, as a result of classification of the visitors based on perception, “daily use and mourning”, “memorial and tradition”, “disaster prevention learning”, “recollection of the place”, “recreation-oriented”, and “various recall” were extracted as the 6 types. These cannot be explained by a single index and each type was analyzed by regression analysis.</p>
