Abstract

Integral equation analysis is presented for terahertz wave scattering from stacked graphene strip gratings. Graphene is modeled by the impedance boundary condition based on the Kubo formula. The derived set of simultaneous linear equations includes expansion coefficients of surface current density as unknowns, which yields accurate and stable numerical solutions due to the form of the Fredholm second kind. We give numerical results for the scattered and absorbed powers, and discuss the relation between grating parameters and power distribution. Near field is depicted for the absorption peak, which shows the resonance of plasmonic surface wave.
