This study aims to clarify what factors affect the speed of return in mail surveys, by using days of returns in the "Takatsuki Citizen Mail Survey by Takatsuki City and Kansai University." The multigroup analysis group of path analysis model with gender, age, and length of residence as explanatory variables was used. The results revealed a preference for the model with constant path coefficients. In the model, the estimated path coefficients confirmed that older age and longer years of residence in Takatsuki City were factors that accelerated returns.
