Abstract

Nowadays, mobility is becoming increasingly electrified, and engine sound is disappearing. Until now, noise-related research, such as reducing engine noise, has been the main focus in the pursuit of comfort. As engine sound is reduced and electrification improves quietness, an emotional approach is believed to be needed in the future. The research theme of this study is cross-modal between auditory and visual perception and investigates the relationship between engine/motor sound and shape and color, and the impression they give people.
