Abstract
<p>Background : The severity of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was brought under control by vaccination. However, we experienced the patient leading to severe diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) after COVID-19 infection. Case presentation : A twenty-something man having diabetes with abdominal pain from the previous day visited our hospital on foot. Nine days prior, he had tested positive for COVID-19 and recuperated at home. On arrival, blood gas analysis indicated the cause of the symptoms to be DKA. Following continuous insulin administration, his symptoms improved immediately. Conclusion : COVID-19 patients having diabetes and complaining of abdominal pain should be performed blood gas analysis.</p>
