Description

The Hui are the second most populous ethnic minority group in China, and their presence is almost all over the southeast and northwest of China. The Hui believe in Islam and rely heavily on mosques in their daily lives. I conducted a field study on mosques in Henan, China, and summarized the architectural characteristics of mosques in Henan by analyzing the spatial layout, architectural forms, and architectural decorations, as well as the lifestyle of the Hui people in Henan.
