- INVESTIGATION OF STRONG WIND DAMAGE TO ROOFS AND DAMAGE ANALYSIS OF TYPHOON FAXAI
抄録
<p>Typhoon Faxai (Typhoon No. 15) in 2019 caused severe damage to many buildings in the Boso Peninsula. The present paper describes the outline of the damage survey and presents the details and findings of a comprehensive survey conducted under the framework of the Wind-Resistant TG. The results of the survey indicate that many tiled roof buildings are damaged, but fixing all roof tiles tightly is highly effective for strong winds. Furthermore, the necessity of specifications considering strong wind conditions for designing roof tiles was presented based on the results of the damaged buildings located in the coastal area.</p>
