Vulnerable individuals, especially those with disabilities, often face difficulties caused by social, economic, and physical barriers. This paper examines how information and communication technologies (ICTs) and data science perspectives can address these challenges, with a specific focus on promoting inclusion and equity. The paper explores the potential of ICTs to foster inclusion across different settings, starting with education and extending to employment and beyond. In terms of equity, efficiency, and equality, the paper identifies communication barriers such as auditory, visual, and communication difficulties, as well as memory, concentration, learning difficulties, and upper extremity movement limitations. To overcome these barriers, the paper proposes the utilization of tools that leverage ICTs, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and data science. Moreover, the paper highlights the use of tools to increase awareness, provide training, improve access, and evaluate barriers. Overcoming the systemic ignorance at the center of exclusionary experiences is recognized as a crucial step toward achieving inclusive and equitable environments. The paper examines how these ideas can impact individuals with such limited perspectives and suggests strategies for involving them in the transformative process. This paper will eventually lead to a discussion about building more inclusive and equitable environments by creating useful tools for all people.
