説明

This study seeks to clarify the effects and challenges of collaborative real-time captioning (RIC) practices through interuniversity collaboration and provide recommendations for future collaborative RIC practices. In a roundtable discussion, 11 students in charge of RTC (SicRTC) were interviewed. The analysis of the interviews revealed 224 sections 76 interuniversity collaborative RIC effects, and 148 inter-university collaborative RTC issues. Findings reveal that the effects of inter-university collaborative RTC include "practical learning," "benefits of increasing the number of people," "growth of SicRTC," "feeling that things can be done gradually," and "suggestions for joint practice." Meanwhile, inter-university collaboration RIC issues include "securing opportunities for joint practice, '' "building relationships between SicRTC,'' "prior preparations confirmations, and meetings," and "things to keep in mind/manuals when collaborating between universities. "Since opinions regarding inter-university collaborative RTC may vary based on the activity history of SicRTC and their motivation for continuing the activity, continuous sample accumulation of inter-university collaborative RTC joint practices and consideration of effective joint practice are necessary. Moreover, it is now evident that securing opportunities for joint practice is one way to carry out joint practice effectively. Conducting future joint training and clarifying important considerations and issues will be necessary to secure the number of SicRTCs and maintain and improve the quality of information and communication accessibility in assisting students with hearing impairments.
