Abstract

Photoacoustic imaging, which measures ultrasound signals generated by short-pulse laser irradiation, is expected to be a biomedical measurement technique that can measure the depth of the living body with high contrast, because the scattering of ultrasound is smaller than that of light. In this study, we constructed a photoacoustic imaging system to search for calcium concentration-dependent absorbance reagents for measuring calcium dynamics in vivo, and confirmed that calcium concentration-dependent photoacoustic terms can be measured from the absorbance reagents.
