Abstract

<p>Open science, which brings development to intellectual production activities through active knowledge sharing, has become a global trend. The key to open science is research data management, which involves the appropriate storage, sharing, and publication of research data under an open and closed strategy. Appropriate research data management is also required from the aspect of research integrity. In order to realize appropriate research data management, research data policies are being formulated and research data management platforms are being deployed at research institutions. This paper presents a case study of Doshisha University, to which the author belongs, and the details of the study leading up to the deployment of a research data management platform.</p>
