Abstract

This paper reports on the spatial distributions and it’s time-course changes of an air-quality in the indoor space placed various species of plants. To obtain the spatiotemporal distributions of the air-quality in this space, a multipoint measurement system including the piezoelectric odor sensor was developed. The dynamics of the Volatile Organic Compounds distributions before/after touching the plants were visualized using this system. Moreover, we demonstrated a real-time prediction of the air-quality by the odor sensor from the correlation between the results of GC/MS analysis and the output signals of each piezoelectric membrane.
