Description
<p>Efficiency of a heating tower heat pump system, which combines heating towers with heat pump chillers is presented. Continuous operational improvement was conducted to determine the appropriate control method for brine temperature and heating tower frequency in order to improve energy performance. With the help of the operations manager, the effects of brine temperature and fan frequency were determined, and simulations were run to devise the control method for the system. The control method was introduced to an operational plant to verify the method and evaluate energy reduction effects. The post-implementation verification revealed points for additional improvement, leading to further efficiency of the energy performance.</p>
