Description

The Japan Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia in Newborns Study Group(JCDHSG)published the first edition of its CDH practice guidelines in 2016 and the revised edition in 2022. The policy for the first edition was to follow Minds’ guidance, aiming to develop a transparent guideline and set CQs based on the needs of clinical practice. The revised edition was not a full revision, but rather a partial revision reflecting new evidence, and CQs were added, especially for long-term complications and fetal diagnosis. The modified Delphi method was used to formulate recommendations, and the opinions of medical professionals and family associations other than JCDHSG members were also reflected. Based on new evidence, recommendations for high frequency ventilation were revised, and recommendations for systemic steroids and endoscopic surgery were also revised. Regarding follow-up of long-term complications, recommendations for regular follow-up through multidisciplinary collaboration were also made.
