Hinohara Village, located in the westernmost part of Tokyo, is suffering from a depopulation. However, not a small number of residents are moving to the area to relocate or live in two places. What are the reasons for moving to Hinohara Village? How are the village and its residents accepting them? Through interviews with local residents, we examine how village policies and local initiatives and activities affect the integration of imigrants.
