説明

In India, the National Curriculum for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) was created in 2024, which provides Anganwadi workers with a guide grounded in Indian and international ECCE research. This paper aims to clarify the learning contents of the National Curriculum for ECCE through its analysis. The National Curriculum for ECCE shows weekly learning activities. The first 4 weeks of the year are used to conduct activities that can help children transition from home to the Anganwadi Centre comfortably. These weeks, not only Anganwadi workers but also parents are supposed to be involved in the activities at Anganwadi. The following weeks are divided into two cycles. Each cycle includes two activity phases. One is an activity phase called the ‘Active Play Bases Learning Plan'. The other is a phase called the ‘Recap and Reinforcement Plan'. The former is 18 weeks and the latter is 4 weeks. During the former phase, 25 different activities are carried out each week. Each activity lasts between 20 and 25 minutes. On the other hand, during the latter phase, 5 themes are covered and activities related to those themes are carried out for 60 minutes each week. Through the analysis, it can be noted that the activities differ for each phase. In other words, it is considered that the activities that need to be carried out at each phase of the year of education at Anganwadi take into account the children s growth and learning outcomes.
