<p>The genus Tagaloblatta Lucañas, 2017 currently includes only one species: T. kasaysayan from the Philippines. Here, we report the occurrence of T. kasaysayan in Iriomote Island, Japan; the second known distribution of this genus and species. In addition, we re-examined specimens of Komatsu et al. (2021) which includes macropterous form of Tagaloblatta (identified as Squamoptera). So, we also update the diagnosis of the genus to include the macropterous form.</p>
