Abstract

In october 1975,the first computed tomography (CT) unit Hitachi-250 in japan was installed in our hospital. Since then, the total number of patients who were examinea has amountea to 1,600 so far. During a period this time, we had a great difficulty in inspecting infants. The scanning time is about 4 minutes in this unit. The most important problem is how to fix the head of anesthetized babies and to ensure the trechea. In an attempt to solve this problem, we have devised a new CT adaptor for infants.
