抄録

The lighting design of TOKYO SKYTREE^[○!R] is admired abroad for its Japanese sense of beauty in illumination and the energy saved by using LEDs for all lighting fixtures. The lighting designer describes SKYTREE^[○!R]'s lighting concept, techniques and design which could be realized only with new LED technology. He discusses future opportunities and prospects in design, as LEDs have become a common technology for lighting in the two years since the completion of TOKYO SKYTREE^[○!R].
