Abstract

<p>Trial production of a super-thin radio frequency identification (RFID) tag with a built-in antenna was carried out using an amorphous InGaZnO thin-film transistor (a-InGaZnO TFT) to study its radio behavior. A rectifier circuit, RF communication circuit and logic circuit were created using a complete-depletion type a-InGaZnO TFT, which limited the power consumption of the entire circuit to 20 µW or less. Even after adding an antenna, which is the thickest part, the RFID created only with the thin-film process had a height difference of a few µm or less, allowing it to be adhered or assembled to objects with a variety of shapes.</p>
