Abstract

<p> “ICT dredging”(harbor construction) in the port and harbor field is started since fiscal 2017, which is aiming to improve productivity by utilizing 3D data of multibeam echo sounder . On the other hand, seabed surface observed by multibeam echo sounder may not be nautical depth but the top of fluid mud. If it is possible to measure water depth in consideration of wet density of fluid mud, we can manage water depth more efficiently such as reasonable dredging. But it is necessary to measure wet density using density sensor. So it is desirable to establish an efficient depth sounding method by acoustic sounding etc based on relevance between seabed surface observed by acoustic sounding and wet density.</p><p> We researched the problems caused by fluid mud on ICT dredging and studied the relevance between seabed surface observed by acoustic sounding and wet density through the field measurement at Tokyo bay.</p>
