Abstract

The Oita remote image transmission system (transmission system) consists of remote image transmission system and high-definition GPS Vehicle Tracking system. The transmission system has been loaded in 34 ambulances of 10 Fire Departments in Oita prefecture. The image in ambulance and its location are transmitted to four emergency medical centers. On April 17th, 2017, the mobile cloud ECG system was integrated to the image transmission system. Ambulance crews obtained 12 lead ECG and transmitted to 18 hospitals, using the network of the image transmission system. Cardiologists can read the ECG and decided cardiac catheterization examination before the patient arrival at hospital. The DTBT of the patient with the cloud ECG was significantly smaller than the control. The mobile cloud ECG is useful for appropriate transfer and rapid treatment for acute coronary syndrome patient and achieved the avoidance of unnecessary patient transports to PCI institutions in remote regions.
