Abstract

<p>This study clarified the change of residential site use in old city by focusing on two period about hollowing process. The first is hollowing of office and living started with the development of commerce and industry in suburb after 1960. The second is hollowing of only living after the period of rapid economic growth. By analyzing the process of residence inheritance, the follow is observation aiming for regenerating residential area in old city. It is hoped to Rediscover areal feature about a way to reconstruct living replaced with office cluster of specific industry type, e.g. renovating historical houses and arranging small irregular lot for comfortable residential land.</p>
