Abstract

A list of Hepaticae and Anthocerotae of Japan was presented by Furuki and Mizutani (1994). In the last ten years, many nomenclatural changes, new taxa and newly additional taxa were reported for the Japanese flora of them. We listed alphabetically the current names of Hepaticae and Anthocerotae with annotations. The list comprises 614 species in 134 genera of Hepaticae and 17 species in 6 genera of Anthocerotae. Two new combinations are made: Leiocolea mayebarae (S. Hatt.) Furuki et Mizut. and Leiocolea morrisoncola (Horik.) Furuki et Mizut.
