説明

This paper aims at describing the redevelopment method of the Bebauungsplan in Basel, Switzerland. It has been operated by the Basel municipal authority together with other departments and architects since 1930. The conclusions in this study are as follows: the Bebauungsplan is considered from a comprehensive perspective including architecture, civil engineering and environment. The Bebauungsplan doesn't define contents uniformly, but flexibly specifies necessary contents for each site. The administration cooperates with architects to create superior urban space and landscape. By overwriting the upper-level land use plan, the Bebauungsplan can deal with needs of the actual situation of the city.
