Description

There is a demand on the method to inspect inside of chassis of vehicles. Nowadays, the inspection is done by using optical 3-D scanners. Since optical scanners can digitize only the surface of parts, the procedure of inspection includes tearing down. If we use X-ray CT scanners, we can inspect even the inside of parts without tearing down. We can not distinguish each thin plate parts made of the same material on X-ray images. On this research, we propose the algorithm of automatic segmentation of thin plate parts from chassis on X-ray CT images.
