Abstract
Through a research on Yakisugi, the followings were clarified. Firstly, the interview and the dictionary investigation pointed out the possibility that Yakisugi, which was caught as a special and privileged technology, was a cheap and very common technology. In addition, by using the technology of deep learning and Google street view, the regional distribution of Yakisugi was clarified in detail in detail. On the other hand, durability could not be demonstrated in this experiment. As a result, hypothesis about “the heat receiving layer” was constructed. Finally, as a future research development, a concept of facade engineering research was drawn.
