Abstract

<p>From the viewpoint of usability in searching information, focusing on web user interface (UI), this paper describes the factors in design which allow users to search information easily. When a user executes tasks for searching information, what are the contents to be considered for each task, and what is the best UI design pattern to correspond to those tasks? This paper examines the National Diet Library Search System to explore these questions.</p>
