Abstract

WE HAVE PROPOSED A TIME-OF-DAY TRAFFIC ASSIGNMENT MODEL WHICH CAN PREDICT THE HOURLY TRAFFIC VOLUME ON EACH NETWORK LINKS. THE MAIN FEATURE OF THIS MODEL IS TO BE COMBINED WITH CAPACITY ANALYSIS OF SIGNALIZED INTERSECTIONS, BUT THIS MODEL IS NOT MODIFIED BY DEMAND FLOWS AMONG THE ADJACENT HOURS FOR THE CONSERVATION LAW OF FLOWS. IN THIS PAPER, WE PROPOSE A DYNAMIC ASSIGNMENT MODEL WHICH CAN DESCRIBE THE CONGESTED NETWORK FLOWS AT BOTTLENECK INTERSECTIONS. AND WE EXAMINE THE VALIDITY OF THIS MODEL THROUGH NUMERICAL ANALYSIS.
