Description
Female Japanese patients presenting with condyloma acuminatum at our clinic during June 2017 and August 2017 were analyzed. There were 94 eligible patients, with a mean age of 32.0 (15–72) years. The condyloma-affected sites were categorized as anogenital (96.8%), vaginal and cervical (95.7%), or of the intra-anal canal (27.9%) and ureter (17.0%). Overall, 36.2% patients showed abnormal cervical cytology. The prevalence of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) was 23.4%. CIN3 was observed in 2.1%, and CIN2 was also observed in 2.1% patients. These results suggest the necessity of intra-anal and ureter examination because CIN were frequently detected in genital condyloma acuminatum patients.
