- WCNを用いた生活道路調査の適用可能性に関する研究
Abstract
Traditionally, traffic surveys have mainly grasped traffic conditions by such as conducting questionnaire surveys and license plate surveys. However, these methods have problems: for example, cost for securing the number of samples. In this study, the authors propose a traffic survey method using Wireless Call Number (WCN) as a reasonable way for traffic survey in community roads. ETC antennas to get WCN were set up at two points in a residential street, Kokubunji High School East Street in Kokubunji City, Tokyo, where through traffic is recognized as a serious problem. A survey was conducted using WCN to clarify current traffic situation of the street such as traffic volume and running speed. Moreover, by comparing the data gotten by the ETC antennas to the data form a HD video camera observation, the authors verified the effectiveness of the traffic survey method by WCN.
