Abstract

<p>The Toma residence located in Chigasaki was constructed in 1930, and Nishimura Architect Company joined in the construction. Nishimura Architect Company was normally conducting design with construction, but in the Toma house the company was responsible only for the design. The Toma Family possess the design books, specifications and estimates by Nishimura Architect Company. Those documents show that the company used original specifications, considering the Western style housing.　</p>
