Description

Using physiological measurements, we measured a master of the Jujishiki Health method, and the effects in two patients. This method is promoted by the Japan Mennonite Ashoro Christian Church. This treatment is said to use Qi power, so we tested using several techniques previously used to analyze Qi power. We found that the practitioner gave several hit close to the backbone with his hand, which influenced the subject's autonomic nerve system. A male, over 20 years old, was shown by ECG data to have his parasympathetic nervous system dominant. In addition, a female patient, around 70 years old, was shown as having a strong sympathetic nervous system. It was accepted that both person's conditions improved with this treatment. In addition, we confirmed that just prior to the treatment of slapping both on the back, R point voltage of ECG began to show some changes. We though that as they were already treated with Qi before being hit, the slapping was unnecessary. Probably the Jujishiki method should be considered as one that uses Qi.
